Blue Stories
Acrylic Paint and Graphite on Paper
Each piece is a profound reflection of the internal contrasts that live within all of us. The color blue, with its serenity and depth, predominates in these works as an invitation to silence. Yet, this very blue is invaded by the chaotic energy of intertwining, curving lines, as if they were ropes pulling in opposite directions, struggling to make sense of a limited space, like electrocardiograms, scars... These lines represent internal tensions, thoughts that pull us back and forth in an endless ebb and flow.
What is presented through these abstract forms, which may seem like simple stains or fluids, are memories, moments frozen in time. Some, like lagoons of calm, suggest a kind of peace reached amidst the chaos, while others, darker and more twisted, convey the invisible experiences we carry within us. The white forms in some pieces are not mere shadows or stains, but rather empty spaces—reminders of what was lost, of what we never fully understood, or of what never was.
The water, represented by the blue lines, is the thread that connects these scattered forms, flowing between them with the strength of the memories and emotions that unite us. But sometimes it turns red, as if it were blood, or black, as if the waters of our souls were contaminated by pain and anguish.
Every stroke and every curve has a reason for being: they are the voices of the past that, through an almost visceral act of expression, reveal themselves in an attempt to understand and reconcile chaos with calm. Red and black, as intense colors that burst through, reveal human fragility, while blue and white seek to remind us of the possibility of peace, of healing, of calm after the storm.
